Im an experimentalist so if I was unsure (and an idiot which happens sometimes) I try walking up 2 flights of stairs to see if that made my heart race.
My doctor strongly suggested I avoid doing such experiments!

The cardiac PA at the ER told me to come back if I felt bad and some things are obvious like the massive dull chest pain I had Monday night.
Its also clear that if I get out of breath and my hearts racing that also qualifies as bad. But its harder than I want it to be to determine if my resting heart rate is at a stable high level. This is the precondition which leads to a tracing heart rate.

When my resting heart rate is 50% over normal its very important to avoid physical activity that will cause heart rate to dangerously increase.
My pulse oximeter doesnt seem to measure my heart rate well when the period is irregular (an element of atrial fibrillation).
Perhaps having a watch that can perform a simple 1-point ecg could be helpful
Saw the Apple Ultra 2 watch can do a 1-point ecg and indicate Afib. Are there cheaper options

Q Suggestions for a smart watch or other reliable portable device for measuring heart rate during extensive atrial fibrillation.
Have never had any issues with my heart and after getting Influenza A last week I now have extensive atrial fibrillation and periods of time when my resting heart rate is between 110-120 bpm. When at this heart rate at rest walking slowly up 2 flights of stairs rate rides over 150 bpm.

Yesterday, I went to the coop with my friend. Arriving at the same time as us was an old white person coded: woman wearing a Barbie-pink MAGA baseball cap with a small US flag patch on it.
The coop is a hippy/liberal grocery and social space. I was safe, and in a culturally supportive environment. My friend is a disabled martial arts badass, who could protect me if it came to that. That hat, and the smug face under it made me angry. Which probably it was supposed to.
Despite my anger and desire to confront her, I didn't. I felt stifled by a lifetime of "be polite," "don't embarass your friend," etc.
I'm working on some strategies for overcoming this and know there must be other people here who are/have struggled with the same thing.

I've just written to a lawfirm with some questions, not the least of which is whether I have to change the name on my birth certificate directly. I'd rather keep the birth name on the certificate and have it reflect that it was changed to my preferred name at a later date. I'm from Utah, and I realize that laws differ from state to state, but I'd love to hear more experiences, thoughts, and opinions from the people who have gone through a legal name change for reasons other than marriage. This may be a controversial opinion, but my to women getting is this: don't change your last name.
Regardless of whether the gets passed, having a maiden name and two married names has become a nightmare for things more mundane than the ability to vote. Like 401(k) roll-overs and loan satisfaction documentation.
I highly, highly recommend keeping your maiden name.
