I have a monitor with a single HDMI port. I have two laptops. I don't yet have, but am planning on getting a wireless keyboard & mouse. Dream scenario would be to have a button (on the keyboard, or another thing) that lets me switch between which laptop the monitor, keyboard and mouse is connected to.

a quick search tells me there are some fancy-pants over-engineered things for what I'd like to do. Logitech seems to have a magic keyboard that can do this
