I find one of the biggest challenges regarding "Experts" is the desire for them to be right. There's lot of self-validation wrapped up in following the advice of "Experts", and when they're wrong it feels like it reflects directly upon the follower of their advice because they didn't exercise good judgement when choosing who to follow in the first place.
Its not a good feeling when you place trust in the advice of "Experts" who turn out to be not trustworthy. And it's incredibly hard to then not in turn twist and distort that as a reflection upon your own self. When the "Experts" we trust let us down, we feel naive and stupid for trusting them at all.
And that's so hard to short circuit. We have to constantly keep reminding ourselves that trust and hope and investment in plans are never bad things. We have to remember, as Rafi has expressed, that our unique square peg roles as artists don't fit into round holes. And we can't take responsibility when the hole looks like one shape and turns out to be another. That is not our fault.
Personally, I've been let down by a lot of "Experts" in my life that I trusted and paid for their perspectives. Sometimes there has been some sort of kernel of wisdom I was still able to take away despite the disappointment. The ones that have been the most effective have been the ones that recognize there are actually no holes to fit into in the first place...

Okay so I plan on changing my name as soon as I'm able to. I go my my middle name instead of my first name so for the court order name change I was thinking to just: remove my first name, make my middle name my first, not have a middle name, and keep my last name the same. so instead of deadname Ceylon last name it would just be Ceylon last name
I figured that would be the easiest way to go and most likely to not be denied by the court or anything.
however I really would like to change my full name, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to do that or if it will make things more complicated/more likely to be denied
