I see and feel a difference between unsolicited advice and unsolicited information.
And it feels like the month's epiphany that I welcome unsolicited advice and information in general, sp.in an age where everybody monetizes everything and puts everything behind a pay wall, if online, or do a lot of redundant small talk with little content if in person.
I will stop you if I don't want it, for whatever reason
(usual reasons for me encompass feeling mansplained, feeling queersplained, not feeling seen in the adequacy of the content, feeling used for show off, not being in the mood etc.)
In general, for me, feel free to infodump, give me unsolicited advice, give me unsolicited informations. I will not spit fire immediately if one doesn't ask first.
Unless there is a discretion issue involved, or other implications, which bring other considerations.
One knows what one knows, one mostly doesn't know what one doesn't know.
Life Changing Anime Quotes #1
Just wanted to highlight my favourite anime quote ever, I also highlight 4 other quotes on my blog post below. These quotes all provide different crucial messages to our lives.
A quotation from Selden, John:
Preachers say, Do as I say, not as I do. But if the physician had the same disease upon him that I have, and he should bid me do one thing, and himself do quite another, could I believe him

Turns out that SendMyBag, which I happily used for the last couple years when sending care packages from to actually prohibits all shipments of "plant matter".
Which means you can't send pasta or pickles, or you can but when DHL smashes your package in a fit of rage, you're on your own.
I guess that a cotton t-shirt qualifies as plant matter, btw. So, basically: your insurance is worth less than the bytes it's stored in.

Kids don't ask to be born.
Not every parent asked to become a parent not every parent retrospectively wanted children.
Not every parent who claims to love and respect their progeny acts in line with that assertion.
It's okay to not want kids. It's okay to not be physically and emotionally comfortable around kids.
It's okay to feel irritated with how some parents make being a parent their whole personality, or describe it as a sacrifice (it is in many ways), or act as if they should be rewarded for doing so.
If you are a parent (by choice, I hope, for everyone's sake), then you are entitled to ALL support you need to sustainably raise a whole-ass human from scratch or from adoption or otherwise.
Caretaking is an art, a science, an act of selfless love, and an ideal of connection with other living beings.
Not everyone is or should feel compelled to perform caring tasks for others.
There is nothing wrong with saying "no".
