So having some problems with my -AC5300 today. Keeps dropping connections and needing a reboot.
If I can't stop it doing this... any on a replacement I don't like the idea of needing a subscription to use features on my router. We have a rural detached house and router is currently not in the middle of the house (sigh). Recently downgraded internet to 100mb as was not using the full 300mb of the cable connection.

Can anyone recommend some non-scummy Amazon alternatives I'm tired of ordering something with Prime shipping because I need it urgently then a day after purchase being told it'll be 1-2 weeks before it arrives. This is especially irksome as these notices always come after they've taken my money so I then have to spend more to get the item on time then return the one that arrives late.
In the last few years, I've become extra isolated & quite out of touch, so I have no idea what's out there anymore. Any advice would be helpful.
Bear in mind, between agoraphobia & overstimulation, I avoid most brick & mortar retailers, so online is preferred.
Hatred is often a form of not taking accountability.
Just another one of my depressed thoughts.
for anyone else, like me, who needed to hear this today: not wanting something is different from not *letting* yourself want something...
How not to live your lifeMaybe someone can help me figure out how or why the environment I'm in is so aggressive and so painfully ignorant that I can no longer cope or excuse it. The patients who stand 30 feet from the desk and yell at you for not hearing you or making up a sign that tells them to stand far is an everyday occurrence. My supervisors keeps making excuses that they're sick, they're being polite, they're distancing. Everything but actually solving the problem.

And so began my adventures 14 years ago.
It has been a real rollercoaster ride. It's mostly been a positive experience. Some wonderful things have come out of it, including my first book.
However, I do wish I'd realised beforehand that not all discoveries are pleasant ones, and that uncovering family secrets can sometimes lead to upsetting situations.

Is it worth applying to "on-site" #jobs if you have no intention to ever be on-siteanyway, tips appreciated
So, I have a question.
We have a decent sized yard (0.8 acres) and we fenced it in because we have 2 large dogs you may have seen in other photos of mine (Roux and Snow, 70lbs and 90lbs respectively) as well as 2 indoor-outdoor cats who kill all the rodents in the area.
Unfortunately, a possum in the area seems to have a death wish. It keeps coming into our yard and getting the piss scared out of it by our dogs. We call them off because we don't want them getting sick killing it (one is a Great Pyrenees and the other is a hunting dog. Neither is likely to get hurt, just diseased from biting it.)
But it keeps coming back and coming deeper into the yard and further from the fence. And it is doing so earlier and earlier in the day. And each time, it gets scared to death and runs off after we get the dogs away.
But it keeps coming back and one of these days, we won't be home and our guys will kill it.
What should we do
A lot of personal and world problems would be avoided if people followed this :
Dont put things where they dont belong
So if you want to keep your space tidy, hold onto your belongings, and protect yourself and others from complicated or destructive situations, learn where things belong and *keep them there*.

Everybody should own a Shop-Vac(or wet/dry vac)
Wet mess Easy. Big mess Please. Spilled an entire bag of sawdust Dog nuked every pillow in the place Cakewalk. Tiny glass shards Quick and safe.
In cat litter and kitchen spills alone for me its paid for itself. Sometimes, you just need the shit off the floor, and a vacuum that doesnt care what it sucks up.
Plus, if you get a Henry, its cute!
How to convince your ex that you are over it
Following the devastating news that your ex is happy to carry on their life without you, it's important to let them see that you have moved on.
The first rule of 'get over it' club is to stop liking every thing they post on social media. It's a little bit stalkerish. Speaking of stalking, stop finding excuses to drive past their place in the hope of spotting them.
When you're ready to give up on something, it often means you're not committed enough to it.

Why Your Photos Suck (And How to Fix Them)
"Save money by purchasing whole food ingredients and cooking from scratch. It's so much cheaper and better!"
This isn't wrong, but it does come from a position of . My mom used to cook everything from scratch because she was a full-time homemaker. Then my dad unexpectedly died and left her with six small children to raise alone. Sometimes it comes down to deciding whether to save or save , because you can't choose both.
