Has anyone ever gotten their old Play 1 speakers to work with the Sonos app The speakers still work, they just refuse to connect. Seems like a waste throw them away
type c. Notoriously crap. My advice, ignore the 'common' wisdom and detach from your device. Once you've found a working pairing, leave it alone. It's an urban myth that leaving the lead in increases the rate of discharge, It doesn't. That's 'bad science'.

I'm trying to figure out how best to maintain all these native herbaceous perrenials here in the Great Lakes area and I'm running into conflicting goals.
On the one hand, it seems I'm supposed to burn (or approximate) to clear out the old dry growth and allow the sun to warm the soil early in the spring. On the other hand, the dried stems and whatnot are wintering habitat for all the little bug buddies.
Am I missing something

Bert have me feedback before my talk at last November. Incredible valuable. I did much better, but still I need to improve a lot. So my additional advice: practise and give the talk as often as you can to get better.

Its free to make an informal appeal by contacting whoever gave you the parking ticket, so its worth trying.

Never buy something that says it's "tactical,".
That usually means it's useless unless it's actually a piece of military equipment. In that case it wouldn't have the "tactical," name because that's already assumed.
Tactical just means it's styled to look like it's something that the military would use, and is probably cheaply made and just looks cool.
Just buy a reputable brand of whatever tool or thing you're trying to get.
It won't be garbage in a disaster.
This is something my partner and I argue about all the time... I tend to use things past the "best by" dates but he will not.

If anyone ever accuses you of being wrong about something obvious, and demands sources immediately, there is a very simple way to make them look dumb -
Ask them for their sources that you're wrong.
When they say they don't have any, pull the same tactic they usually use and go "OH! No sources Guess you have no clue what you're talking about then,".
It destroys their attempt to waste your time.
If they actually do go look and you're correct, they'll learn something too

GPT-4o Sycophancy has become dangerous
Sycophancy in GPT-4o: What happened and what were doing about it
I am running on a Raspberry Pi 5 with 8GB of RAM, using a 1TB SSD as the main and only drive, using the .
So far, I could not properly measure the performance, because I dont know how to do it, but I am satisfied! Yet, this is definitely not a future-proof solution, since I need way more storage: I still havent imported most of my pictures there, and I need to prepare for plenty more to come.
The simplest (yet quite pricey, 261) option would be to get a and maximize it with a total of 4TB NVMe SSDs.
I think this is not optimal, though, and probably I could be spending all that money much better Do you have any advice
The thing about hosting a personal media gallery is that it requires a lot of resources when indexing the pictures (so only when you add new ones), then its super lightcorrect me if I am wrong, . Hence, Im thinking the best would be an extensible solution where I can add many HDDs and SSDs, without being forced to pump up the other specs too. I would probably be using just one NVMe SSD for the software and the database, and then save everything else in high-performance HDDs, since they are getting cheap and I can get much more storage with less moneyof course I am performing a daily backup off-site, as they are more likely to fail, too.
If I am 100% sure that whatever I end up choosing will be solid for many years to come, I am willing to consider spending a bit more on it.
