How not to live your life
Are you Mad?

When someone is nasty, rude, hateful, or mean with you, pretend they have a disease. That makes it easier to have empathy toward them, which can soften the conflict.

If you desperately need a job, you are just another problem for a boss if you can solve many of the problems the boss has right now, you are hired. To be hired, think like your boss.

You are what you do. Not what you say, not what you believe, not how you vote, but what you spend your time on.

Pro tip. When you get a login to a pension portal from an employer, make sure that everything is linked to your personal email. This should make it easier to find out how your pension is doing -- or where it even is -- in the future when you have not only left the company, but the company has disappeared off the face of the earth.

No room for forgiveness is a room for grudges (And hatred for that matter)
So long as there's room for the hatred, that will be what occupies the world.

I say this as one of my friends has ghosted me for seemingly no reason, two actually. But I know hatred isn't a healthy feeling to have and if I let it consume me, I make their actions more hate-able, thus unable to come to terms with it.

I want to switch my mom off of Twitter as I only see her getting angry from the sensationalist drama party going on there. I am looking for on which to set her up on. She doesn't want to leave Twitter because of the related news feeds she follows so any good Ukraine people to follow would also be appreciated. Lastly, I 100% don't want her on the same instance I'm on.

Thanks

Humans who shave, but specifically those who use epilators:
What do you do to:
1. Get a cleaner shave, and
2. prevent raiser bumps

I've been using chemical products for years, and I hate them, but was never taught anything different and I'm either looking for advice or for different suggestions.

People who have more than one dog how important is it for the dogs to match energy levels Our current pup is pretty energetic, but Im more interested in mellow snugglers. But Id like them to still get along, of course.

There are some men who listen neither to reason nor to good advice, and who deliberately go astray through fear of being dominated.

Il se trouve des hommes qui ncoutent ni la raison ni les bons conseils, et qui sgarent volontairement par la crainte quils ont dtre gouverns.

I had hoped by the end of this year to have found a long term remote contract. There's still a few days left, but it's not looking all that promising.

Maybe my CV/Resum is letting me down. I've recently rebuilt it, and I think it looks good, but I'm not in HR of course.

Work is good, and there's currently lots to keep me busy, but I need consistency.

As always, advice accepted and appreciated. Happy to email/send CV for critique.

There I was in Puppy , bringing my very basic GTK.dialog (think that is what it is)

I have joined the Manjaro to try and get some but was only granted 8 minutes to post. Holy sugar puffs. That is severe!

Still I like Manjaro a lot. Not for Windows or Apple users or gamers. It is for experienced penguin heads (guilty as charged). I might even put on my and who knows

Soon I will be talking like a infosec wer-lobster and using TOR and doing penetration testing or phishing for complimentary tokens.

I have a small group of friends who meet on videochat for 5-10 minutes at the top of every hour throughout the work week and chat in between.

Up until now we've been using Skype, but it keeps having really frustrating issues, like everyone joining the call, but it looks like you're alone in the call.

We're looking for something that

Ideally it also wouldn't be a privacy disaster/require google.

In a past life I worked in the UK Civil Service.
I was always taught (and I have always found it to be true):
1) when anyone in a large organisation says "we're taking this very seriously" it means they absolutely don't care.
2) anything before the word "but" in most sentences is untrue in the eyes of the speaker.

Dear Friends of the other side,

As we may know traffic wardens/cops are human . but . Yesterday I came across one of these lost . They are employed by Wandsworth council. Yes it really is named Wands but that is another story. Ahem
back to the traffic warden who was issuing a violation ticket to a petrol death dealer (or Kar as I believe call them). The offending kar was on double yellow line on a busy . I the traffic warden and pointed out the vehicle also had one on the pavement/sidewalk. Also naughty. I think his work was appreciated and made him happy. On previous occasions I have suggested to traffic wardens:

I have other for traffic wardens

Hope this is :byebrows:

Might be a bit of a stretch, but here goes:

Dad wants to buy books for Kid3 and Kid4 for Christmas. Kid4 is easy-peasy -- knows exactly what he wants.

Kid4, not so much. I won't have a chance to go into town myself to look at what's there (or even buy it on Dad's behalf, plus he wants to do it himself) so I wonder if anyone would have a few suggestions

The last book she read and loved was Happyhead by Josh Silver. She's 12, a good reader, a deep thinker, quite serious though prone to giggles when the mood takes her. We have a LOT of books so something newish/this year or last year would be better (if it's been popular and published in the last few years, we probably have it)

Thanks for any help!

Last week I apparently took too aggressive of a walk and my lower back seized up. Ive been trying to treat it kindly with stretches and icy hot, etc. but I am looking for any advice anyone has about preventing this from happening again. TIA!
