Sigh, I'm struggling with a Thing I don't like in my life, friends, but I can't change it. Well. Not immediately (unless I'm willing to face some really unpleasant consequences, and I'm not).
I can work towards changing said Thing but that will take time, and meanwhile, I need to be OK with the status quo. This is unsettling and annoying because I've really reached the end of my tether with the Thing.
I need to focus on radical acceptance/gratitude/what good I have in my life over the next few days. Currently I'm journalling, writing lists of 'things I love and are good in life', spending time with my favourite folk, planning some gardening...
any other tips will be greatly appreciated. This is taking up a lot of energy and it's demoralising and sad.

Flight coming up N.S. travel agent has advice amid global fuel shortage
Canadian airlines are cancelling flights and some experts are calling it the worst aviation crisis ever, triggered by the war in Iran. Myranda Miller, a Maritime Travel branch manager in Halifax, shares what travellers can expect.
Practicing can be a pain, can it
Well, here is what I do to make it more enjoyable for myself. It's...surprisingly simply.
As always - don't use Generative "AI", that will rot your brain faster than leaving a tomato to rot in the sun next to a dung heap.
Do not trust your skills to computers.
Use your hands. Be a human.
Buy a notebook and use it.
Don't wake up one day wondering why holding a pen hurts and writing a paragraph is pain. USE YOUR BIG BEAUTIFUL PLUMP BRAIN!
Also - using a pen on paper HELPS YOU REMEMBER BETTER than typing it into your phone. If you don't write physical notes and wonder why you used to remember shit and don't anymore - it could be caused by skill regression and not doing something REAL with your hands.
We didn't used to be glued to smartphones.
People need physical things to build memory paths. This shit I am doing now - it's not as real as writing things down on a paper.
If you haven't touched a pen for a while - do it. Doodle something, write notes - do not let the skill of holding a pen get away from you. By not using a pen, you can cause regression of this skill and might end up being surprised how hard picking it back up can be!
(Inspired by people who apparently couldn't remember when they last held a pen, whined that it hurt their hands, and said it was difficult to write a SINGLE PARAGRAPH OF TEXT. Don't be like them.)
