Planting Pineapple Tops
Put the pineapple top directly into the ground having trimmed off any remaining fruit leaving just the base of the leaves. Leaving on fruit may promote fungal attack. Also, remove about a third of the leaves from the lower portion. Do this gently and one at a time so you will not disturb the roots that form between the lower leaves. Then stick in the ground watering regularly for the first few days. They need full sun. With luck you will have pineapples within 6-10 months.
